Rizwan Virani is the Chief Executive Officer of Alliant Cybersecurity and the Chief Information Security Officer of alliantgroup. He has over 20 years of experience in the technology industry, having begun his career as an electrical engineer at one of the largest microchip manufacturers in the world. Rizwan is also a Certified Information Security Systems Professional (CISSP), a member of the FBI’s InfraGard National Alliance, and an executive member of the CyberEdBoard community. Rizwan is tasked with delivering cybersecurity solutions that enable organizations to drive innovation and operational excellence while maintaining a strong security posture.
With both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin, his passion lies with engineering and STEM education. He has also been instrumental in alliantgroup’s STEM scholarship program, helping to provide scholarships to several students in the Houston community each year. Rizwan strongly believes that STEM education is essential for developing the critical thinking and problem-solving skills that are so necessary in today’s rapidly changing world. He is passionate about spreading the word about the importance of STEM education, and he is working hard to ensure that more young people have access to quality STEM programs. When he is not advising organizations on technology and cybersecurity, Rizwan is an active volunteer in his community. He enjoys devoting his personal time to Fort Bend Independent School District events and activities as well as the Boy Scouts of America.
