Cathie Fisher, M.Ed.

In her role as with Neuhaus Education Center, Cathie focuses on academic planning as she works with large school districts to create custom professional development plans to increase educators’ knowledge in the science of reading and implementation of structured literacy instruction. Cathie’s prior experience includes architecture and construction marketing, sales and client management, finance, early childhood education teaching and management, and providing Basic Language Skills dyslexia remediation. She comes from a family of educators and eventually chose to join the profession.

Cathie has served on the board of the Houston Area National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), is currently serving on the board of Celebrate Dyslexia in San Antonio and is joining the advisory board for NextGen Innovation Academy in Houston.

Cathie holds a Master of Education with a concentration in reading and writing from Southern Methodist University and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in painting and sculpture from Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas. In her spare time, Cathie enjoys organic gardening, sewing, and spending time with family, friends, and neighbors. Currently, she is living and working in Houston, Texas and the Texas Hill Country.
